Our exercise physiologists have been hand picked by director Jesse Morgan. All our practitioners hold professional membership with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and are registered with Medicare, Work Cover and Health Funds. Our practitioners work closely with your GP’s, specialists, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, rehabilitation providers and case managers to ensure the continuity of care.
Jesse is the director of Embrace Exercise Physiology. He has a strong passion for exercise in rehabilitation changing the lives of individuals severely affected by disease. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist he specialises in the fields of musculoskeletal rehabilitation, pre/ postoperative conditions, chronic medical conditions and occupation rehabilitation.
Jesse is also employed at Southern Cross University as a clinical educator and lecturer in the Master of Exercise Physiology program.
When Jesse isn’t working you can usually find him surfing at one of the local beaches.
Tim has been a part of the Embrace team since 2012 with over 3 years of experience as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. From 2007 until 2011, Tim devoted his life to studying the human body and majoring in exercise science, holding dual degrees from both Southern Cross University and the University of Queensland where he completed his Bachelor and Master’s Degree.
Tim is currently specialising in the field of rehabilitative services for musculoskeletal conditions and chronic disease management with an emphasis on developing sustainable behaviour change in individuals.Tim’s involvement is heavily with in-home services for ‘at risk’ individuals designed to help improve symptoms and quality of life for debilitated and elderly individuals.
His strong interest in this field is working with individuals of all ages who are looking to improve their life through sustained long term weight loss. He believes that good health is earned every single day and that we should not take this for granted or face the consequences. When he isn’t working, Tim enjoys competing in his weekly Basketball competition, exercising at the gym or relaxing at home watching his favourite TV series.
Tamika is very passionate about using exercise as medicine and providing clients with the necessary tools to self manage their chronic diseases and improve their quality of life. Since graduating from her masters degree, Tamika has worked within a private practice learning all aspects of rehabilitation including using Pilates as a rehabilitation tool. Tamika currently specialises in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, falls prevention, hydrotherapy and clinical Pilates.
Tamika enjoys working with the high risk category of falls prevention and enjoys helping them achieve excellent results. “The smile on someone’s face when they realise there hard work is paying off and they are reaching their goals makes my day”. Tamika grew up locally in the Northern Rivers and completed all schooling here and has recently just moved back. In Tamika’s spare time she enjoys being outdoors exercising or at the gym, or spending time with her family.
Alysia became an Exercise Physiologist because she believes poor health should not be a barrier to an individuals life experiences.
Alysia completed her studies, a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology right here on the far north coast at Southern Cross University. Upon graduating Alysia initially worked in rural and remote communities throughout far western NSW before moving back to the Far North Coast in 2015.
Alysia has over 3 years experience working with all aspects of chronic disease management and chronic injury rehabilitation. With a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions and postural correction.
Away from work Alysia enjoys finding a new challenge to add to her own training and exploring the local area and enjoying our beautiful region.
